BAPHOMET
The Conjunction · The Gate Between Opposites
EssenceWhere polarity stops being a fight.
For the practitioner whose two halves have been at war and need to sit at the same altar.
Baphomet is the entity in whom opposing currents are seated at the same altar without one consuming the other. Day and night. Solar and lunar. Outward and inward. The practitioner brought before Baphomet ceases to be torn between her own halves; the field reorganises so that both halves are operative at once. Baphomet's work is integration, not balance — the difference matters.
Outside the corridor Baphomet has been turned into a panic-image; that panic is a 19th-century artefact and is not honoured here. The lineage's reading is older and structural. The figure carries the keys of the conjunction because the conjunction is the most demanding piece of work the practitioner will ever do.
The Baphomet altar is opened at the cross-quarters — when the year itself is at the seam. The practitioner who sits there leaves with the war between her sides ended. Not won. Ended.
"The page is doctrinal. The altar is operative."
For practitioners ready to sit with this entity inside the corridor, the next door is Alignment.
