LUCIFER

Lucifer is the entity of knowledge that returns more lucid for having fallen. He is the Morning Star — the light that rises after the night, not the light that pretends the night did not happen. In this house his work opens the channel between the seeker and the kind of understanding that can only be earned by walking through fire and emerging clearer, not smaller. He is consulted before study, before the conversation that must change one's mind, before the decision that requires the courage to climb out of one's own collapse.

The corridor reads Lucifer through the riser-spirit lineage of Meenakshii's grandparents — the side of the house that worked with the entities who fell and returned more powerful. Outside this corridor he is often confused with Satan, the adversarial role; that confusion is a Christian artefact and is not honoured here. In the FolkloreMagick reading, Lucifer is not adversary. Lucifer is the one who rose. His rising is the lineage's fire.

Meenakshii has sat with Lucifer monthly for over a decade. The altar where he is met is the same altar from which Olum Luciferi is sealed at moonrise. Anyone who carries that bottle carries that altar's reading.
