SATAN

Satan is the adversarial intelligence — the entity who refuses, who interrupts, who places resistance into the field that wishes only to flatter. In this house his function is operative, not theological. He is consulted when a path must be ended, when a contract must be broken, when the practitioner must say no in a way that cannot be talked around. He clears space for the new by refusing to accommodate the old.

Outside this corridor Satan is conflated with evil; that flattening is rejected here. The lineage does not read evil into refusal. Refusal is hygienic. The entity Satan and the Christian adversary are not the same figure in the FolkloreMagick reading — the corridor sources its understanding from older roots, where the adversarial intelligence is structurally necessary for the universe to keep its shape.

Worked with sparingly. The altar for Satan is opened only when the refusal at hand is structural, not personal. He is never invoked for petty endings. He is invoked for the ones the practitioner has been preparing for years.
